NYC Public Schools Working Closely with Large Companies

Although distance learning is a new and unfamiliar experience for many, top companies like Apple, Verizon, and Google have stepped up to the plate to aid students during this time. According to Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza, the Department of Education has 30,000 wifi-equipped ipads ready to distribute to students in need. Chancellor Carranza states that he has been working closely with school principals to pinpoint which students will benefit from these devices.
