After a federal court neglected the Trump administration’s rollback of school nutrition guidelines, news spreads that school lunches may look very different this year and next. In response to a lawsuit brought forth by the Center for Science in the Public Interest and Healthy School Food Maryland, but no details have been confirmed or executed as of yet.
The pandemic leads to tighter budgets and weakened supply chains, which makes healthy eating more difficult to uphold. Similarly, the years of hard work issued by previous first lady Michelle Obama seem to be compromised by new health guidelines.
